The Joseph Fletcher sailed from London, Captain Pook, on July 5th 1856 and arrived at Lyttleton on October 24th 1856.

Clipper Barque: 672 tons

The Joseph Fletcher, a small clipper barque of 672 tons, built by Fletcher, of Limehouse, was one of the earliest vessels to arrive in Auckland (1852). For her size she made more than average passages, and bought out a large number of our early settlers.
