This map shows the places the Joy family lived in Bedfordshire. The Icons are coded to show the earliest dates that the records show the family living there.

• 4 - 1650-1699
• 5 - 1700-1749
• 6 - 1750-1799
• 7 - 1800-1849
• 8 - 1850-1899
• 9 - 1900-1949

Help

• To search for any place, enter the text in the "Search" box and click on Search
• Click on an Icon to open the Information Window.
• Doubleclick on an Icon to open the Information Window and zoom closer.
• Click on a photo in a popup window to see the full sized image
• To show just the places you are interested in, you can filter the display using text from the Information Window (eg to just show places associated with the Walls family):
  • Enter the text in the "Show" box above the map (eg "Walls") and then click on Show
  • To add more places to the display, enter the text in the "Add" box and click on Add
  • To display all markers, click Markers, the next click clears all markers
  • To return to the initial display position and zoom level, click Reset
• Clicking on the <, *, > buttons centers the map on the previous / first / next icon and opens the Information Window

There are many other features:

• The Map, Satellite, Hybrid buttons (top right on the map) display maps and / or satellite photos.
• To move about: use the pan and zoom buttons (top left of the map), click and drag with the mouse to pan and double-click (away from an icon) to zoom in
• The information box (top left of the map) shows the cursor position, number of displayed icons, zoom level and summary information of icons.
• The small map (bottom right of the map) shows the location of the larger map and allows you to pan by dragging the box. It can be open and shut with the arrow at the bottom right corner.
